Energy flows through your body in a distinct way, through pathways called “meridians”. You can affect these meridians through acupuncture—as well as through Yoga—by practicing specific asanas that address these energy pathways. Yoga and acupuncture can both help you tap into your body’s own energetic healing system.
In this fun, “hands on” workshop, you will be taught what the different Elemental pathways are, and how you can use Yoga to help strengthen and rebalance your energy. Willing participants may experience gentle acupuncture to assist relaxation.

Dianne Mallik has been a Licensed Acupuncturist for over 29 years and has practiced homeopathy for nearly 40 years. As an acupuncturist in California, she was trained in the use of Chinese herbs and often employs them adjunctively in her practice. During the last 15 years she has primarily focused on the use of Five-Element Acupuncture to help her patients not only release the energetic blocks they have built up over a lifetime, but also to balance and strengthen the Element that is their weak link, their Causative Factor. In this way, Dianne’s clients heal not only physically, but emotionally.
Brooke Marais is a qualified and experienced Yoga Instructor (E-RYT), trained by Simon Low (Hatha, Yin & Yang), and The Yoga Academy in the UK, and is also a STOTT PILATES®-Certified Instructor. Though Brooke has studied with many renowned teachers, she is particularly inspired by her training with Yoga teachers, Julie Gudmestad, P.T. (Iyengar) and Norman Blair (Yin, Ashtanga Vinyasa). She is also a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, and Goldsmiths College, University of London.
